Remote Billing Support Specialist

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client for an entry-level Remote Billing Support Specialist to join their finance team in a fully remote capacity. Day to day, you will spend your time reviewing invoices, researching billing discrepancies, and helping customers understand their charges over phone and email. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable with numbers, and enjoys solving problems patiently and accurately. COMPENSATION

The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $82,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Generate and send accurate customer invoices on a regular billing cycle
• Review billing records for errors and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Respond to customer billing inquiries via phone, email, and chat
• Process payments, credits, and adjustments in the billing system
• Maintain accurate and up to date customer account records
• Collaborate with accounting and customer service teams to resolve disputes
• Assist with month end billing reconciliation and reporting
• Track outstanding balances and support collections follow up
• Document billing procedures and escalate complex issues as needed
• Support ad hoc billing projects and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree in accounting or business a plus
• Prior experience in billing, accounts receivable, or customer service preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently
• Comfortable working in a remote, self-directed environment
• Basic familiarity with billing or accounting software is a plus
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet home workspace
