Overview

SPAR Information Systems LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Lead/Architect to join our innovative team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable infrastructure solutions that enhance our development processes and operational procedures. The Sr. DevOps Lead/Architect will work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to automate and streamline operations and processes, while mentoring junior team members and driving continuous improvement initiatives across projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure systems utilizing cloud service providers.
• Develop automation scripts and tools that streamline development and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to establish and enforce DevOps best practices.
• Monitor system performance, security, and availability, responding to incidents promptly.
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Maintain and enhance existing CI/CD pipelines ensuring seamless integration and delivery.
• Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, software development, or similar roles.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior DevOps Lead/Architect will work with a variety of technologies and tools including, but not limited to, AWS or Azure cloud services, Docker for containerization, Kubernetes for orchestration, Jenkins for CI/CD, Git for version control, and monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana. Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) is also advantageous as part of the toolset to enhance deployment and maintenance processes.
