Overview

SPAR Information Systems LLC seeks a highly capable and experienced Java Principal Engineer 1 for a remote position. Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications that meet business requirements.
• Lead and participate in architecture discussions, providing technical guidance to ensure robust solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to define project specifications and requirements.
• Review and enhance existing code to improve performance and maintainability.
• Implement best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, and documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering their technical and professional growth within the organization.
• Engage in troubleshooting and debugging technical issues to ensure a seamless application experience.
• Manage and monitor project timelines and deliverables, adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Java development and programming.
• Extensive knowledge of Spring Framework, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD and cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving abilities along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience in leading technical projects and mentoring peers is highly desirable.
