Redwood RMJ, a division of TechFetch.com, is seeking a highly skilled Remote Senior System Administrator to join our team. This role entails the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security across all systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network configuration, server management, and systems integration, enabling them to proactively identify and resolve technical issues while supporting various organizational initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain server infrastructure, ensuring optimal uptime and performance.
• Monitor systems for performance issues and implement necessary adjustments.
• Oversee systems backups, disaster recovery, and data integrity protocols.
• Develop and document systems administration procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
• Provide level 2 and level 3 support for incident management and troubleshoot system errors.
• Implement and maintain security standards across all systems and networks.
• Research and evaluate new technologies to improve system efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or similar roles.
• Proficient in Windows and Linux server environments.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and protocols.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and services (AWS, Azure).
• Industry certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, or similar are preferred.

Technologies & Tools

The Remote Senior System Administrator will work with a variety of technologies including but not limited to Microsoft Windows Server, Linux operating systems, VMware, AWS, Azure, SQL Databases, and network monitoring tools. Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell will be beneficial.
