Overview

As a Remote Senior Software Engineer specializing in Identity and Access Management (IAM) with a focus on Java technologies, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust software solutions that meet the security and access needs of our organization. Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable IAM solutions using Java and related technologies.
• Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to integrate IAM solutions with enterprise applications.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and policies while implementing best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze system performance and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and guidance to junior engineers.
• Utilize automated testing frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Mentor and support team members in developing their technical skills and understanding of IAM concepts.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends related to identity management and recommend relevant improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on Java programming.
• In-depth understanding of IAM concepts and technologies, including SSO, MFA, and role-based access control.
• Experience with identity federation protocols such as SAML, OAuth, or OpenID Connect.
• Proficiency in software development best practices, including agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong experience with SQL databases and familiarity with NoSQL technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.

Technologies & Tools

In this position, you will work primarily with Java as your main programming language, alongside frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate. You will also utilize various IAM tools and platforms, including but not limited to IdentityIQ, Okta, or Azure Active Directory. Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL or MongoDB, along with experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab, will also be essential to your success in this role.
