Overview

The Sr. Linux RHEL Systems Administrator at SoftSages Technology plays a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our Linux-based systems and environments. Job Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain RHEL-based systems in a production environment.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
• Implement security measures and conduct regular audits to safeguard system integrity and compliance.
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation of system tasks and processes.
• Conduct regular backups and rotations to maintain data integrity and system recoverability.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls effectively.
• Collaborate with development teams to create and maintain deployment and configuration management processes.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and incidents effectively for knowledge transfer and compliance.
• Stay updated with the latest technology trends and Linux-related advancements to provide innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator, specifically with RHEL systems.
• Strong understanding of Linux system administration concepts and best practices.
• Proficient in shell scripting or other programming languages for automation.
• Experience with network protocols, services, and security practices.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, or Chef) is a plus.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, LPIC) are highly preferred.
