Job Description

Sales Operations Analyst

Location: Remote

Contract Type: W2 under staffing supplier

Contract Duration: 3 months with possible extension

Pay: $54.87/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, execution-driven Sales Operations Analyst to support an expanding Supply Chain sales organization. This role partners closely with Sales Managers who oversee teams of representatives, ensuring they have the data, processes, and insights required to accelerate sales velocity, strengthen performance management, and consistently achieve growth targets.

The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with operational expertise—surfacing the “why,” identifying performance gaps, and building scalable solutions that help teams work smarter and convert more effectively. This role is well suited for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys diagnosing sales-funnel dynamics, and is motivated by creating structure that enables high-quality selling at scale.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Performance Analytics and Process Optimization

  • Identify patterns among top and lower-performing representatives and translate findings into recommended actions for Sales Managers.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of funnel bottlenecks, including outreach-to-conversion performance, and quantify opportunities for improvement.
  • Standardize processes across teams to reduce variability and improve the predictability of results.
  • Partner with Enablement teams to translate analytical findings into updated playbooks, scripts, and training materials.
  • Manage and refine lead-routing logic to support equitable distribution and strategic prioritization.

2. Tooling, Systems, and Data Quality

  • Build and maintain dashboards that track representative- and manager-level performance across activity, pipeline health, conversion, and yield metrics.
  • Maintain strong data hygiene across CRM and sales systems.
  • Create automated data-quality checks to identify and flag issues early.
  • Own reporting accuracy for key performance indicators used in forecasting and team-level goal setting.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of outreach, prospecting, and pipeline workflows.
  • Recommend and operationalize enhancements that improve team productivity and reporting reliability.

3. Team Development and Organizational Planning

  • Provide data-driven recommendations regarding hiring needs, headcount allocation, and workload balancing across teams.
  • Support interview processes by defining success profiles, developing structured assessment criteria, and evaluating candidate fit using relevant performance indicators.
  • Recommend and implement organizational design changes—such as new roles, specialized teams, or regional segmentation—to improve throughput and sales coverage.

Qualifications

  • Background in Sales Operations, Business Analytics, Strategy and Operations, or a related field.
  • Strong SQL and/or Excel/Google Sheets skills.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.
  • Comfort working with large datasets and building repeatable reporting frameworks.
  • Experience supporting sales teams or working in a high-velocity sales environment is preferred.
  • Strong ownership and prioritization skills.
  • Proactive approach to identifying operational gaps and creating structure where needed.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
