Location: Fort Worth, TX 76106

Pay: $20

Schedule: Monday - Friday

3rd Shift: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM

Must be available for overtime and weekends as needed based on production demands.

Position Overview

The Sandblaster's role is to use various blast media and blasting equipment to prepare parts and assemblies for coating, meeting or exceeding customer specifications and productivity requirements by ensuring correct media and equipment settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the department Lead or supervisor to assist with daily operations.
• Responsible for continually maintaining a clean working environment.
• Prepare metal for painting, including sandblasting and wiping down steel to remove oil and cutting fluids.
• Use measurement devices to measure and record sandblast profile.
• Perform daily maintenance routines on blast equipment.
• Clean blast booth, lights, and change filters.
• Follow safe operating and lifting procedures.
• Wear proper protective equipment while following all safety procedures.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
• Minimum of 1 year of blasting experience in a production/industrial environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure, digital and analog profilers, and other handheld measuring tools.
• Knowledge of metal alloys, various blast media, and their properties is preferred.
• Demonstrated punctual and dependable performance.
• Ability to exude high energy, solution-based thinking, while focusing great attention to detail and maintaining a service-oriented disposition.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Position may require bending, kneeling, and stooping.
• Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and chemicals.
