Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Protective Patrol in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate clearly with personnel and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and report unusual conditions, suspicious activity, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established armed post procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining professional communication with site contacts and emergency responders.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
