Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant for a broad, hands-on role reporting directly to the Controller. This position combines general ledger accounting, financial reporting, inventory accounting and cash forecasting, with responsibility for supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable close.

This is hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office along with excellent work/life balance where 40 hour work weeks are the norm, even during close.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and support monthly and year-end close
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for the parent company
• Reconcile inventory, maintain related reserves, and account for sales and inventory transactions
• Maintain the fixed asset subledger, including capitalization, depreciation and roll-forward schedules
• Prepare intercompany billings, reconcile balances, and coordinate payments and confirmations
• Manage cash forecasting and related management reporting
• Support internal and external audits, tax audits, and preparation of tax return supporting schedules
• Improve accounting processes, document procedures, and strengthen internal controls

Senior Accountant Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables and data analysis
