Position Overview

The Senior Azure DevOps Engineer at Perficient will play a pivotal role in expanding and optimizing our cloud infrastructure while implementing best practices for CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring. Job Responsibilities

• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines leveraging Azure DevOps tools.
• Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure on Azure.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve the deployment process and application reliability.
• Monitor and optimize application performance and conduct troubleshooting as needed.
• Automate processes and implement configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and security of cloud-based systems.
• Stay current with Azure services and DevOps methodologies, ensuring best practices are applied.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps and cloud technologies.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure services and infrastructure.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Excellent understanding of networking, security, and monitoring best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Technologies & Tools

This position will utilize a range of technologies and tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Azure cloud services, Azure DevOps, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and various scripting and automation tools. Familiarity with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor or Application Insights and knowledge of database systems such as SQL Server or Cosmos DB is also beneficial.
