Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize back-end applications and APIs to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and product managers to develop robust software solutions.
• Monitor and enhance system performance, security, and scalability of back-end systems.
• Implement best practices for coding, testing, and deploying applications within an Agile environment.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement of the team's codebase.
• Debug and resolve technical issues to maintain system integrity and performance.
• Document software architecture, design decisions, and other technical specifications for current and future reference.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance our software applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in back-end development using languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-based technologies.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or others.
• Proficiency in version control systems, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of containerization technology (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior Back-End Software Engineer will engage with a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to Node.js, Express.js, AWS or Azure cloud services, Docker for containerization, and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as Jira or Trello will also be beneficial in facilitating project collaborations and sprint planning.
