Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable backend systems and APIs that enhance integration processes across various platforms.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and build effective solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API performance and integrations, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to promote best practices in backend development.
• Develop and maintain documentation for all backend services, APIs, and integration workflows.
• Participate in architectural discussions to contribute to the overall technical direction of the integrations platform.
• Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on API design and integrations.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Node.js, or Java.
• Extensive experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling standards.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and deployment methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing solutions.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior Backend Engineer will work with a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to cloud services (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud), version control systems (Git), containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD environments (Jenkins, CircleCI).
