Senior Backend Engineer | Token Spend Management

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will focus on building the backend systems that power spend visibility and help customers understand usage and billing data with greater accuracy. You will design reliable services, data models, and asynchronous workflows that turn complex external inputs into clear, usable information. The position partners closely with product and cross-functional teams to improve system performance, reliability, and customer experience as the platform scales.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,000 – $160,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and APIs for AI spend visibility
• Enhance integrations for usage and billing data from providers
• Transform integration data into useful structures for customers
• Create reliable data models and workflows for accurate spend information
• Lead projects from design to launch and iteration
• Improve system reliability and performance as usage grows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer needs
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend systems design and operation
• Proficient in building APIs, data models, and asynchronous workflows
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex projects
• Experience with external data sources and integration challenges
• Strong problem-solving skills in ambiguous situations
