Senior Cloud Engineer

Location: Westlake, TX 76262

Duration: 12 months, with potential extension or FTE conversion

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-native applications using AWS services.
• Leverage AWS compute, storage, networking, database, messaging, and serverless services to build cloud-based solutions.
• Work with AWS EKS, Kubernetes, and Docker to support and troubleshoot containerized applications.
• Develop and maintain backend services, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications using Golang or Python.
• Implement integrations using AWS messaging, event-driven, and API management services.
• Troubleshoot cloud and application issues and optimize performance and reliability.
• Implement cloud monitoring, logging, security, and observability practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement scalable, resilient cloud solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with AWS EKS/Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong software development background.
• Proficiency in Golang (preferred) or Python.
• Experience developing backend services, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
• Knowledge of AWS compute, storage, networking, database, messaging, and serverless services.

Preferred Skills

• Golang development experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS EKS and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing event-driven architectures and API integrations on AWS.
• Knowledge of cloud observability, monitoring, logging, and security best practices.
