Job Responsibilities

• Design cloud architectures that meet business requirements for scalability, performance, and security.
• Implement and maintain software and hardware infrastructure in cloud computing environments.
• Monitor cloud performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and availability.
• Develop automation scripts to enhance the efficiency of cloud operations.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to deploy applications in cloud environments.
• Conduct cost analysis and resource allocation to optimize cloud spending.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and best practices to drive innovation.
• Advise on security configurations and best practices to protect resources and data.
• Lead training and mentoring initiatives for junior staff and stakeholders on cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, architecture, or a related role.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Solid understanding of network security protocols and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Certification) are preferred.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior Cloud Engineer will work with a diverse set of technologies and tools including but not limited to cloud service platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI), and monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana). Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is also essential for automation tasks.
