Job Overview

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at KDS Strategic Search Group will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions that support our expanding technology initiatives. Job Responsibilities

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure architecture, including deployment and scaling of applications in the cloud.
• Implement and manage cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization for cloud systems to ensure high availability and efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze cloud service usage, allocating resources as needed to optimize costs and performance.
• Implement security best practices and compliance measures for cloud services and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment and operational processes.
• Facilitate troubleshooting and resolution of cloud-related issues and outages.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or a similar role.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and cloud security principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience in cross-functional team environments.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will work with a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and Prometheus, as well as CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI. Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet is also beneficial for automating server provisioning and management.
