Job Responsibilities

• Implement best practices for data governance, data quality, and data security throughout the data lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or equivalent role, preferably in the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data processing.
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Expertise in building and maintaining ETL processes using tools such as Apache Airflow, Talend, or similar.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Technologies & Tools

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will work with advanced data technologies and tools, including but not limited to Apache Spark for big data processing, AWS or Azure for cloud-based solutions, Tableau or similar tools for data visualization, and Jupyter Notebooks for interactive data analysis. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks may also be beneficial, as well as tools for data pipeline orchestration such as Apache Kafka or Airflow.
