Overview

Optomi is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this 100% remote role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing our cloud infrastructure, specifically utilizing AWS, ArgoCD, and Kubernetes. You will collaborate closely with development and operations teams to streamline processes, automate workflows, and ensure robust system performance and reliability. Your expertise will be crucial in driving continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices as well as enhancing our deployment strategies.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure on AWS.
• Automate deployment processes using ArgoCD and ensure consistency across environments.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and optimize container orchestration.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
• Implement security best practices across all stages of the development lifecycle.
• Create and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Document processes and architectures to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps role or similar positions.
• Extensive experience with AWS services and architecture.
• Proficient in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with ArgoCD and GitOps methodologies.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Well-versed in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
