Job Overview

Transamerica is seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in AWS to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
• Automate deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines to enhance operational efficiency.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain 99.9% uptime for critical applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing and security practices into the deployment pipeline.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Conduct regular review and optimization of existing cloud solutions and processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices for security and manage the organization's risk exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or related roles, with at least 3 years working specifically in AWS environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of networking and security concepts within the cloud.
• AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) is highly preferred.
