Overview

The Senior DevOps Engineer at Dice will play a pivotal role in establishing and optimizing our DevOps practices as the first DevOps hire in the organization. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, as well as enhancing development operations to ensure the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our applications. Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable infrastructure for application deployment and operation.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless integration and delivery processes.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to minimize downtime.
• Automate deployment processes and performance monitoring using industry-standard tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and deliver efficient solutions.
• Establish best practices for DevOps workflows, including infrastructure as code and configuration management.
• Document architectural designs, processes, and procedures for ongoing knowledge sharing.
• Conduct regular assessments of services to improve security, performance, and availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, IT operations, or software engineering roles.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and best practices for system architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
