Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Motion Recruitment, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and enhancing our DevOps practices. Being the first DevOps hire, you will lead the implementation of tools and strategies that promote efficiency, automate processes, and ensure smooth operations of our development and deployment pipelines. You will collaborate closely with software development and IT operations teams to build a robust infrastructure that supports high-quality software delivery, fostering a culture of continuous integration and delivery.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle.
• Work collaboratively with development teams to create and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes using configuration management and orchestration tools.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of services.
• Provide guidance and mentorship on best practices for DevOps methodologies.
• Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to improve system performance and development efficiency.
• Facilitate incident response and disaster recovery processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong experience with containers and orchestration tools, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
