Overview

VetsEZ is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in automating and streamlining operations and processes, helping to ensure the deployment of software applications occurs efficiently and reliably. You will work closely with development and IT operations teams to facilitate the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline, manage cloud infrastructure, enhance system performance, and monitor application health, all while promoting best practices within our engineering culture.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid software development and deployment.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and availability of services.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance application performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement and manage cloud services and ensure secure protocol and configuration.
• Automate manual processes and create documentation for technical procedures and best practices.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance scaling efforts.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to support development and operations processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in DevOps or Software Engineering roles.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Extensive experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
