Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines that incorporate security best practices.
• Collaborate with software development teams to assess and enhance application security.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and remediation.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of infrastructure and applications.
• Develop automated security testing and compliance checks throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members on security methodologies.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging threats to ensure preventative measures are in place.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a focus on security practices.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security mechanisms.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Python, Bash, or Terraform.
• Experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their security concerns.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to security best practices.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior DevOps Engineer - Security will work with a variety of technologies and tools including, but not limited to, cloud services (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform), configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet), container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker), as well as security assessment tools (Qualys, Snyk, Burp Suite). Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch will also be beneficial.
