Overview

Blue Sentry Cloud is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive expertise in Azure to enhance our development and operational capabilities. This fully remote position will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage robust infrastructure solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for automating processes, ensuring system reliability, and driving continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to support the organization’s objectives while maintaining high standards of security and compliance.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient systems on Azure cloud services.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing and deployment solutions.
• Manage and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
• Implement and oversee security best practices and compliance within cloud environments.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in system architecture and operational processes.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members on best practices in DevOps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or a related engineering role.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Strong knowledge of container technologies including Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Excellent understanding of networking concepts and cloud security best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work in a remote environment.
