Senior DevOps / SRE Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps / SRE Engineer with strong API platform and microservices experience to enhance the reliability, scalability, performance, and security of business-critical applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Maven, Node.js, Java, Python, TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), along with experience building CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, improving observability, and maintaining highly available production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application builds, testing, and deployments.
• Build, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform and cloud-native provisioning solutions.
• Support API platforms and microservices, improving system reliability, scalability, performance, and security.
• Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop scripts and automation using Shell, Python, and other scripting tools to reduce manual operational tasks.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health using observability tools, and troubleshoot production issues through incident management and root cause analysis.
• Define and track SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and service-level performance metrics.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, vulnerability management, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to improve release processes and production readiness.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, document SOPs, and communicate progress and risks to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), API platforms, and microservices.
• 7+ years of experience with Maven, Node.js, Java, Python, and TypeScript.
• 5+ years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Terraform.
• Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automating build and deployment processes.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and production support.
• Understanding of high availability, system reliability, performance optimization, incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with API platforms, microservices architecture, security practices, and observability.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps, and repository management tools.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and the Elastic Stack.
• Experience with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, PowerShell, or other infrastructure automation tools.
• Familiarity with automated testing and code quality tools such as SonarQube, Selenium, and JUnit.
• Knowledge of security policies, vulnerability management, backup and disaster recovery, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and improving DevOps processes.
