Overview

Motion Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps/AWS Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for orchestrating cloud infrastructure solutions, automating deployment processes, and facilitating effective collaboration between software development and IT operations. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage robust AWS infrastructure solutions to support software development and deployment.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor system performance and conduct regular audits to ensure optimal operation of cloud resources.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to streamline CI/CD processes and improve development workflows.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation and runbooks to facilitate knowledge-sharing across the organization.
• Implement and manage security best practices within the AWS environment.
• Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on industry best practices and tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps or AWS engineering role.
• Strong proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and IAM.
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, including Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) is a plus.
