Role Description The Senior Director of Market Insights is a full-time, remote role responsible for shaping and leading Startup Adviser’s market intelligence strategy. This role oversees the collection, analysis, and interpretation of market, customer, and business data to inform content, product, and growth initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and managing research frameworks, conducting qualitative and quantitative market analysis, and producing clear, actionable insight reports for executive and cross-functional teams. The Senior Director will collaborate closely with content, marketing, product, and partnerships to identify emerging trends, assess audience needs, and guide strategic decision-making. This role also includes building and mentoring a market insights function, establishing measurement standards, and driving continuous improvement in how data and insights are used across the organization.
Qualifications

• Strong Business Insights and Customer Insight skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear strategic recommendations.
• Expertise in Market Analysis and Market Research, including designing studies, segmenting audiences, and assessing competitive landscapes.
• Advanced Analytical Skills, with proficiency in data interpretation, dashboard creation, and storytelling with data.
• Demonstrated experience leading market or customer insights teams in a digital, media, or technology-focused environment.
• Proficiency with analytics and research tools (e.g., survey platforms, BI tools, web and social analytics).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across disciplines and time zones.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
