Our platform, XpertCoding, autonomously codes outpatient medical claims directly from clinical documentation using neural networks, machine learning, and natural language processing. Position Summary

You will own the web platforms we build on top of XpertCoding: the client-facing analytics and reporting product and the internal applications that run our operations. Your first major projects are rebuilding the analytics and reporting product so clients can ask questions about their data in plain language, and adding a conversational assistant powered by a large language model (LLM) to our website. This is a senior, hands-on role. You will write production code, set the technical and UI standard by example, and mentor other engineers in the US and India through code review and clear written specifications. XpertDox operates under HIPAA, SOC 2 Type 2, and ISO 27001. Company compliance programs are owned elsewhere; your part is building applications that meet those standards. Our applications support clinical and financial decisions, so quality and reliability define the work. It is not a management role.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will:

• Own the client-facing and internal application portfolio that supports operations, client success, and administrative workflows.
• Own frontend and backend architecture for the web platforms.
• Rebuild the client-facing analytics and reporting product to be conversational first, so clients can ask questions in plain language and get answers from their own data.
• Build and ship a conversational assistant on the XpertDox website, powered by a large language model.
• Own and raise UI and UX standards across every platform, including a shared component system and consistent interaction patterns.
• Write production code to a high standard and review the team's.
• Maintain the security and privacy of every application you build, including access control, tenant isolation, and safe handling of protected health information.
• Mentor other engineers in the US and India through code review, written specifications, and asynchronous technical guidance.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years building production web applications, currently hands-on.
• React and TypeScript across component architecture, state management, and performance work on data-heavy interfaces.
• Node.js backend experience across API design, authentication, and authorization.
• Hands-on experience integrating a large language model into a product that shipped to real users.
• Experience integrating with relational and document data stores.
• Production experience on a major cloud platform, ideally AWS.
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows in a team setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• A background bridging design and engineering.
• Experience taking a product from functional to polished.
• Experience supporting a distributed team across US and India time zones.
• Accessibility and shared component system work.

Location and Schedule

This role is on-site at our Scottsdale, Arizona headquarters, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. It is not a remote or hybrid role. Applicants from anywhere in the United States are welcome, with relocation to the Scottsdale area required before your start date. The role does not require travel.

Compensation

• Base salary of $120,000 to $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
