Job Overview

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Builders FirstSource, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of scalable and secure Cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure and Terraform. This remote position will require a proactive approach to adopting best practices in infrastructure as code (IaC) and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and performance of our IT systems. Job Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure and Terraform.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate provisioning and management of cloud resources.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, security, and availability within cloud environments.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on best practices and emerging technologies.
• Conduct regular assessments of cloud architecture and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies regarding security and data protection.
• Document infrastructure processes and create operational runbooks for technical staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, particularly with MS Azure.
• Strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Solid understanding of networking, security practices, and cloud service models.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
