What You'll Do

Infrastructure Security Engineering

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain security controls across large-scale compute, storage, and networking environments.
• Implement security solutions that balance strong protection with the performance requirements of complex, high-throughput workloads.
• Own security technologies throughout their lifecycle, from evaluation and deployment to operational support and optimization.
• Develop scalable security capabilities that support both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure.

Security Monitoring & Detection

• Design and implement telemetry, logging, monitoring, and detection capabilities across infrastructure environments.
• Collect, normalize, and analyze security signals from compute, storage, and network platforms.
• Develop dashboards, alerting mechanisms, and detection rules that provide actionable security intelligence.
• Continuously improve visibility into infrastructure security posture and operational risks.

Automation & Security as Code

• Build Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Policy-as-Code solutions that enforce secure configurations by default.
• Automate compliance validation, security controls, and evidence collection processes.
• Develop scripts, tools, and automation frameworks that improve operational efficiency and security outcomes.
• Create repeatable processes that reduce manual effort and increase platform reliability.

Security Architecture & Risk Management

• Perform threat modeling and security assessments across infrastructure, storage, networking, and cloud environments.
• Identify vulnerabilities, evaluate risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Design security architectures that support scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure strong controls around authentication, access management, segmentation, encryption, and vulnerability management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with infrastructure, networking, storage, cloud, operations, and security teams to achieve shared security objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate security controls into platform engineering and operational workflows.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise on infrastructure security best practices.
• Support security initiatives that strengthen enterprise-wide resilience and operational excellence.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, systems engineering, or infrastructure security.
• Strong hands-on experience securing both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
• Deep Linux administration and operating system expertise.
• Experience managing and securing large-scale compute environments and distributed infrastructure platforms.
• Strong networking knowledge, including network architecture, segmentation, access controls, and security monitoring.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Shell scripting, or similar languages used for automation and tooling.
• Experience implementing security controls for enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, vulnerability management, and security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting high-performance computing (HPC), large-scale engineering, research, or compute-intensive environments.
• Expertise in cloud security across multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud architectures.
• Experience building security monitoring, SIEM integrations, and detection engineering capabilities.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and Policy-as-Code frameworks.
• Experience designing automated compliance and configuration management solutions.
• Familiarity with enterprise-scale storage platforms and network fabrics.
• Background in security engineering within hyperscale, cloud, or large distributed environments.
• Experience balancing security requirements with performance-sensitive workloads.
