Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
• Optimize application performance and system reliability through effective monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Develop automation strategies for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Implement security best practices to safeguard containerized applications and data.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and implement appropriate container orchestration solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
• Remain current on industry trends and apply knowledge to improve existing processes and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years focused on Kubernetes.
• Strong familiarity with cloud service providers such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols in a cloud environment.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and methodologies.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer will work with a variety of technologies and tools including but not limited to Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, Jenkins, and Terraform. An understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices will be essential as well as experience with service meshes like Istio and security tools such as Aqua Security.
