Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineering teams to support application deployment and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams and operational procedures.
• Conduct security audits and implement measures to safeguard Linux environments from vulnerabilities.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve systems and processes.
• Provide mentorship and support for junior system administrators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Strong knowledge of Linux environments, with proficiency in system scripting and automation.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Proficiency in networking protocols and services, including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on service quality and reliability.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior Linux Systems Administrator will work with a variety of technologies and tools including but not limited to Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, Docker, Kubernetes, network security tools, and monitoring systems like Nagios or Zabbix. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, as well as database management with MySQL or PostgreSQL, will also be beneficial.
