Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SolarWinds Administrator (Network Administrator III) for a hybrid contract in Austin, Texas.

Responsibilities:

The SolarWinds Administrator will be responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the SolarWinds monitoring platform supporting a large enterprise network environment. This role will manage SolarWinds infrastructure, including monitoring tools, server systems, databases, and reporting capabilities. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining custom SQL queries and reports, analyzing large NetFlow datasets, troubleshooting network performance issues, supporting uptime and availability reporting, automating processes through scripting, and collaborating with network and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable system performance. The position also requires creating detailed operational and executive-level reports related to network availability, performance, capacity planning, and outage analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience administering and supporting the SolarWinds Orion Platform.
• 5+ years of experience with SolarWinds modules such as Network Performance Monitor (NPM), Server & Application Monitor (SAM), and/or NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA).
• 5+ years of experience with server administration, systems administration, and database technologies.
• 4+ years of experience writing custom SQL queries and developing reports from scratch.
• 4+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server or similar relational database platforms.
• 3+ years of experience utilizing PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation.
• 3+ years of experience analyzing and troubleshooting network performance issues.
• Working knowledge of network engineering concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network monitoring.
• Experience administering enterprise monitoring solutions in large-scale environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with NetFlow and traffic analysis in enterprise networks.
• Experience developing custom reports related to uptime, downtime, availability, performance, and capacity planning.
• Experience supporting multi-site network environments.
• Knowledge of monitoring and reporting solutions used in government or public-sector organizations.
• Experience automating monitoring alerts and notifications.
• Familiarity with Power BI and Power Automate.
• Experience supporting WAN connectivity and carrier outage analysis.
