The Senior Oracle Linux Administrator at Get It Recruit - Finance will play a critical role in the management and optimization of our Oracle Linux environments. This position is responsible for implementing best practices related to system administration, performance tuning, and security compliance. The successful candidate will collaborate with other IT teams to deploy server configurations, manage system resources, and ensure high availability and reliability of enterprise-critical applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle Linux servers, including installation, configuration, and provisioning.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary system updates and patches.
• Ensure the security of Unix/Linux servers by implementing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
• Develop and maintain documentation including system configurations, procedures, and security policies.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Backup and restore data, and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place and tested regularly.
• Lead and mentor junior system administrators, providing guidance and training as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration, specifically with Oracle Linux.
• Strong experience with shell scripting and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Detailed knowledge of networking, storage systems, and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting of Linux-based systems.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies and platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as Oracle Linux Administrator or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) are preferred.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior Oracle Linux Administrator will work extensively with various technologies and tools including, but not limited to, Oracle Enterprise Linux, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring solutions such as Nagios or Zabbix.
