Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Engineer to support integration test execution across client-provided rack configurations. The selected candidate will be responsible for executing acceptance test procedures, regression suites, and sanity validation campaigns across multiple fleet configurations.

In addition, the engineer will contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of automated regression frameworks, test harnesses, fixtures, and reporting systems, treating automation as a sustainable software product rather than a one-time scripting effort. The role also involves supporting configuration database management activities, including preparation, delta analysis, consistency validation, and controlled implementation of configuration changes within the client's state management framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute integration, regression, acceptance, and sanity test campaigns across multiple environments.
• Design, enhance, and maintain Python-based automation frameworks and reusable test infrastructure.
• Develop and support backend services and REST APIs.
• Create and maintain robust unit tests using PyTest and mocking frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to clean coding standards and best practices.
• Support configuration database activities, including change validation, comparison, and implementation.
• Troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and drive effective resolutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and QA teams to ensure system reliability and performance.

Required Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong expertise in Python 3.x with deep understanding of type hints, typing, and mypy-style development practices.
• Solid object-oriented programming experience, including design patterns, clean architecture, and SOLID principles.
• Proven experience building and maintaining backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of validation mechanisms, exception handling, and application reliability.
• Hands-on experience with PyTest, unit testing, mocking, and code review processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to cloud-based deployments, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with asynchronous programming using asyncio.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and large-scale software validation environments.
