Overview

Jobot is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in a 100% remote capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical solutions, and innovate processes, ensuring that software deliverables meet both functional and non-functional requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely feedback.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to industry best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to promote professional growth and knowledge sharing.
• Debug and troubleshoot existing applications to improve performance and user experience.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to improve system functionality and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in software development and engineering.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
• Experience with web frameworks, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Proficient in version control systems, particularly Git.
• Solid understanding of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Technologies & Tools

The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of technologies and tools including, but not limited to, cloud platforms (such as AWS or Azure), CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes for containerization, and Agile project management tools like Jira or Trello. Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React or Angular will also be beneficial.
