Senior Software Engineer – Trading Systems

Arklow Search is working exclusively with an established investment firm seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the continued development of its trading technology platform.

This position offers significant technical ownership, working alongside investment professionals to develop scalable, reliable systems supporting live trading and quantitative research.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and enhance high-performance trading applications using C++ and Python.
Build and improve systems supporting market connectivity, trading workflows and real-time data.
Design scalable infrastructure across cloud and distributed environments.
5–10 years' software engineering experience, ideally within a hedge fund, proprietary trading firm or market maker
Familiarity with AWS, containerisation and modern infrastructure technologies.
Commodities, Futures or Energy experience would be advantageous.
