The Senior Software Engineer (Cloud & DevOps) at Mendel.ai will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-native applications and optimizing DevOps practices for continuous integration and delivery pipelines. Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement cloud-native applications to support Mendel.ai's AI platforms.
• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid delivery of high-quality software.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and DevOps best practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance and reliability issues in cloud systems.
• Guide junior developers and provide mentorship in best practices for cloud and DevOps methodologies.
• Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards throughout the software and infrastructure lifecycle.
• Continuously evaluate and incorporate new technologies and methodologies to enhance system performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Cloud and DevOps practices.
• Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Solid knowledge of networking concepts and cloud security best practices.

Technologies & Tools
