Overview

Bigleaf Networks is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with a focus on DevOps and Infrastructure to join our dynamic team. The Senior Software Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, improve deployment methodologies, and drive automation initiatives. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable infrastructure systems using cloud and on-premises technologies.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate deployment and configuration management processes.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software releases and improve deployment efficiency.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, providing solutions to improve reliability and scalability.
• Implement security best practices across infrastructure and applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshooting efforts to ensure high availability of services.
• Mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and advocating for collaborative best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on DevOps and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Bash) and experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and security protocols.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior Software Engineer will primarily work with a variety of cutting-edge technologies and tools, including cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), containerization with Docker, orchestration using Kubernetes, configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet), and Infrastructure as Code solutions (Terraform, CloudFormation).
