Senior Software Engineer

We are hiring Senior Software Engineer, Product

📍 New York City, NY | On-site (4 days/week) | Full-time

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Product to join our small, specialist-heavy engineering team and take ownership of critical backend systems, data infrastructure, and AI-powered product features.

What You'll Do

• Scale AI agent platform, improving reliability, orchestration, and performance.
• Build and maintain backend systems, APIs, and data infrastructure that support thousands of agents.
• Own and evolve the insights inventory that tracks, deduplicates, and organizes insights generated by AI agents.
• Drive data modeling and query performance across PostgreSQL and ClickHouse as the platform scales.
• Build full-stack product features, including analytics capabilities, MCP servers, and tools that enable AI agents to interact with Yogi's data.
• Collaborate closely with AI engineers, product, design, and sales to turn customer needs into impactful product features.
• Establish engineering standards for code quality, API design, backward compatibility, and data modeling.

What We're Looking For

• 3–6 years of experience as a software engineer, with a strong track record of building and operating production systems.
• Strong full-stack development capabilities across both backend and frontend.
• Solid experience with APIs, database design, and PostgreSQL, including data modeling and performance optimization.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; Computer Science is preferred.
• Proven ability to own projects end-to-end, from problem definition and technical design to deployment and production operations.
• Comfort working autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment, making technical decisions with minimal supervision.
• A product-minded approach, with the ability to understand customer needs and translate them into practical engineering solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience building LLM-powered features, AI agents, chatbots, agent tooling, or MCP servers.
• Experience at an early-stage AI startup, particularly in establishing engineering practices and technical standards.
• Familiarity with ClickHouse or other analytical databases.

Location & Work Policy

This role is based at Yogi's downtown New York City office, with an on-site requirement of 4 days per week. Candidates already based in NYC are strongly preferred. Candidates willing to relocate to NYC are also welcome to apply.
