About the Opportunity:

The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, ECOSYSTEM EVENTS, is focused on building and maintaining the webhooks platform that enables third-party integrations and supports key products. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving event-driven systems that handle high traffic volumes reliably. The position contributes by ensuring the platform's scalability, performance, and operational efficiency, directly impacting the reliability and usability of integrations used by developers.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy improvements to webhook services and APIs.
• Build and maintain event-driven systems capable of handling large volumes of traffic.
• Troubleshoot cross-service issues and enhance tools for investigation and observability.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize platform performance and address dependencies.
• Support internal teams in developing webhook integrations.
• Provide technical leadership through mentoring, code reviews, and pairing.
• Maintain service health and participate in on-call rotations to address production issues.
• Develop architecture proposals and use prototypes to evaluate scaling strategies.
• Write maintainable, tested code and utilize CI/CD pipelines for safe deployment.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of software engineering or related technical experience with production software delivery in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python; or equivalent education and experience combinations.
• At least 2 years maintaining highly available, high-volume platforms.
• At least 2 years experience with event-driven system development.
• Preferred experience includes scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python), general-purpose programming (e.g., Go, Ruby), cloud environments, queuing or streaming systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), relational or distributed databases, and distributed team collaboration with strong communication skills.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The base salary range for this role is USD 124,000 to USD 329,200 per year.
• Pay varies based on factors including location and individual qualifications.
• Additional rewards such as annual bonuses, stock options, and sales incentives may be available depending on role and performance.
