Overview

Avesta Computer Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer specializing in Golang and AWS for our Video Streaming division. Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance video streaming applications utilizing Golang and AWS.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and develop technical specifications.
• Optimize existing code and systems for enhanced performance and reliability.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers to promote best practices.
• Ensure the security and compliance of the streaming applications by adhering to industry standards.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including conception, development, testing, and deployment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in software development and video streaming technologies.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience, with a focus on backend development.
• Extensive experience in Golang and proficiency in AWS cloud services.
• Strong understanding of video streaming protocols and technologies.
• Proficiency with database systems, particularly NoSQL and relational databases.
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
