About the Opportunity:

The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER role is integral to the Digital team, serving as a core full stack developer and technical owner. This position is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the products and platform that deliver a digital banking experience to credit union customers. The role contributes to key product modernization efforts and the development of a new API layer, expanding the platform's capabilities. It requires end-to-end ownership of work in a remote and collaborative setting, impacting the delivery of reliable and modern digital banking solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design scalable and maintainable full stack systems aligned with the digital roadmap
• Lead technical design discussions for modernization initiatives and API development
• Evaluate and recommend tools, patterns, and architectures for frontend and backend stacks
• Ensure secure coding practices through code reviews, scanning, and testing
• Contribute to API design standards and integration patterns
• Build, test, and maintain features for web and mobile banking platforms
• Write clean, documented, and tested code in TypeScript, React, C#, and ASP.NET Core
• Manage full lifecycle of software development including production monitoring
• Work with containerized environments and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Utilize relational and cloud databases appropriately
• Deliver sprint commitments reliably and communicate risks early
• Collaborate with engineering teammates and participate in design reviews
• Lead code reviews and support team knowledge sharing
• Assist in onboarding new team members
• Engage actively in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement
• Pursue ongoing learning relevant to the digital technology stack

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience with full stack ownership
• Proficiency in React and TypeScript for frontend development
• Experience with Next.js or similar server-side rendering frameworks
• Experience delivering production mobile applications, preferably with React Native or native Swift/Kotlin
• Backend development skills in C# / ASP.NET Core or similar strongly-typed languages
• Solid API design and integration experience, including RESTful APIs
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Starting salary range of $120,000 to $150,000 based on experience, plus bonus eligibility
