Overview

myGwork, the LGBTQ+ Business Community, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer - Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems. The successful candidate will work closely with development teams, leveraging best practices in site reliability engineering to enhance system reliability and streamline operational processes. Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement monitoring solutions for our applications and infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to design and build reliable and scalable services.
• Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks, using tools and scripts.
• Participate in incident response and postmortem analysis to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams and operational runbooks.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies and practices to enhance system reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or site reliability engineering.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, security practices, and infrastructure components.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
