As a Senior Software Test Engineer for the Data Platform at Clari, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our data-centric applications. Job Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for data platforms.
• Design and implement automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency.
• Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and data engineers to understand requirements and provide feedback on quality impacts.
• Identify, document, and track software defects; coordinate with development teams for timely resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions to ensure quality standards are met from the start.
• Analyze test results, report findings, and make recommendations to enhance product quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and help elevate the overall team's skill set in testing methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on data platforms or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar.
• Experience with SQL and database testing principles.
• Hands-on experience in test automation and performance testing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Technologies & Tools

This role will involve working with various technologies and tools, including but not limited to the following: Selenium for automated testing, JUnit and TestNG for unit testing frameworks, as well as SQL for database queries. Familiarity with cloud environments and data processing tools, such as AWS or Azure, and data visualization tools, is advantageous. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices will also be beneficial to facilitate seamless integration of testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
