Position Overview

Hop AI is seeking an experienced Senior Vice President to help shape business strategy, strengthen financial performance, and guide operational growth in an AI-focused business environment.

This role calls for an executive who understands both the commercial opportunities and financial realities of artificial intelligence. Developing AI products and services requires careful decisions around technology investment, infrastructure costs, talent, pricing, and long-term profitability.

Working closely with executive leadership, the Senior Vice President will evaluate growth opportunities, establish financial priorities, and help translate business strategy into measurable results. The position requires strong financial judgment, commercial experience, and the ability to lead teams across business and technical functions.

The ideal candidate will bring a proven record of executive leadership, experience evaluating technology investments, and the ability to balance innovation with financial discipline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop corporate strategy, financial objectives, and long-term business growth plans.
  • Oversee financial performance, including revenue forecasts, operating budgets, cash flow, profitability, and capital allocation.
  • Evaluate AI product investments, technology infrastructure expenses, and commercial expansion initiatives through financial modeling.
  • Work with Finance, Product, Engineering, and Business Development to align technology priorities with business objectives.
  • Assess AI service pricing, customer acquisition costs, operating margins, and recurring revenue opportunities.
  • Identify strategic partnerships, enterprise customer opportunities, and potential areas for business diversification.
  • Support investment planning, financial risk assessments, and decisions involving technology resources and organizational growth.
  • Establish performance indicators to monitor business execution, financial efficiency, and commercial results.
  • Mentor senior management teams and strengthen accountability across financial, operational, and commercial functions.
  • Present executive business reviews, investment assessments, and strategic recommendations to company leadership.
Qualifications
  • 18+ years of progressive experience in executive management, corporate strategy, technology leadership, finance, or business operations.
  • At least 8 years of senior executive experience, preferably within artificial intelligence, SaaS, enterprise software, or technology-driven organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, capital allocation, and investment evaluation.
  • Experience overseeing technology business models, subscription revenue, product economics, or enterprise commercial operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate growth investments, manage financial performance, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Understanding of AI infrastructure costs, cloud computing economics, technology commercialization, and financial risk.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and working with senior technical and financial executives.
  • Excellent strategic judgment, executive communication, negotiation, and organizational leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline required. An MBA or relevant advanced qualification is preferred.
Ideal Candidate

You are an accomplished executive who understands how financial strategy and technology innovation must work together to build a sustainable AI business.

You have experience managing business performance, evaluating major investments, and helping leadership teams make decisions about growth, profitability, and resource allocation.

You understand the financial challenges associated with AI development, including infrastructure expenses, product commercialization, pricing, and long-term investment returns.

You bring a practical leadership approach and can communicate effectively with finance professionals, technical teams, and commercial leaders.

Above all, you have the executive experience, financial expertise, and strategic judgment needed to help Hop AI pursue sustainable growth while maintaining strong financial and operational accountability.
