Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Server Engineer II to support its global Server Operations team, with a focus on Windows and Linux systems across on-premises datacenters and Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for Windows and Linux environments.
• Manage hypervisors including VMware vSphere/ESXi, Nutanix Acropolis, and Hyper-V.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Certificate Services.
• Use monitoring and automation tools (SCOM, Zabbix, SCCM, Ansible Tower) to resolve alerts and automate deployments.
• Operate and optimize Azure environments, including VMs, Entra AD Connect, RBAC, Azure Backup, and Site Recovery.
• Remediate vulnerabilities, apply patches, and work with security teams on compliance.
• Contribute to migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery planning.
• Maintain operational documentation and reports.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, standard business hours.
• On-call rotation with after-hours emergency response as needed.
• Planned weekend maintenance windows for patching and upgrades.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent work experience.
• 5–7 years of IT infrastructure experience, including 3+ years supporting large-scale Windows and virtualization environments.
• Hands-on experience with VMware, Nutanix, and Hyper-V.
• Proficiency with Windows Server (2016–2025) and Linux distributions such as RHEL and Ubuntu.
• Strong Microsoft Azure background.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting skills.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
