Role Description The Shift Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at a Starbucks store in Taunton, MA. This role is responsible for leading store operations during assigned shifts, including opening and closing duties, managing the flow of customers, and ensuring high-quality service and products. The Shift Manager supports and guides baristas, coordinates breaks, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This position also assists with inventory checks, cash handling, adherence to food safety standards, and implementation of Starbucks policies and procedures. The Shift Manager models Starbucks’ values, provides mentorship and feedback to the team, and helps create a positive experience for customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and retail or food service environments, with the ability to deliver friendly, efficient support to a diverse customer base.
• Supervisory or leadership experience, including coordinating shifts, supporting teams, and giving constructive feedback.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with partners and interact effectively with customers.
• Basic cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work on-site in Taunton, MA, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Capacity to stand for long periods, move quickly in a fast-paced environment, and handle occasional lifting or carrying of supplies.
• Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and adherence to Starbucks operational standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior Starbucks or similar coffee shop experience is a plus.
