Shipping and Receiving Manager

Pacific Powder Coating is a powder coating and metal fabrication job shop serving manufacturers, fabricators, and OEMs across Northern California. We provide powder coating, sandblasting, and metal fabrication under one roof, and we're known for quality work and responsive service.

We're looking for a Shipping & Receiving Manager to oversee and coordinate all daily activities within the Shipping & Receiving department, including supervising drivers, scheduling, and ensuring the safe, compliant, and timely movement of products.

What You'll Do:

• Serve as primary point of contact for customer service, communicating on order status, shipment timing, delivery issues, and resolving concerns directly
• Verify incoming materials and customer jobs, ensuring quantities match paperwork and items arrive in acceptable condition.
• Confirm counts, weights, and identifying information prior to shipment.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations for hazardous materials handling, storage, and documentation
• Oversee company drivers and delivery operations, ensuring DOT/CA compliance
• Perform deliveries and step in to cover driver routes as needed, including during absences or high-volume periods
• Operate forklifts for loading/unloading as needed
• ·Train, schedule, and manage performance for the S&R team
• ·Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety and company policy

What You'll Need:

• Prior supervisory or lead experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics
• Strong customer service skills with confidence in handling direct customer communication
• Ability to use email, excel, and company software (JobBoss2)
• Valid CA driver's license with a clean/insurable driving record, and comfort making deliveries personally when needed
• Forklift experience and certification (Exam provided upon hire)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 100 lbs with assistance
